Clinical Service Manager – Mental Health Nurse / Learning Disabilities Nurse

Up to £60,000

37.5 hours per week


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Service Manager with a background in Mental Health Nursing (RMN) or Learning Disabilities Nursing (RNLD) to lead and oversee clinical services at a specialised adolescent inpatient care facility. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality care for young people up to the ages of 18, who have complex mental health conditions. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the delivery of care while leading a dedicated and professional team.

 

What we’re looking for

  • Registered Nurse with NMC registration (RMN or RNLD).
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a clinical mental health or learning disabilities setting e.g. Hospital Director, Ward Manager etc
  • In-depth knowledge of statutory regulations and standards for mental health nursing and care.
  • Strong financial management skills and experience in budget oversight and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A passion for improving mental health services and making a difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team, providing supervision, mentorship, and support to nursing and clinical staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, healthcare standards, and policies, while delivering patient-centred care.
  • Oversee the financial and operational aspects of clinical services, including budget management, resource allocation, and performance tracking.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic, integrated care to young patients.
  • Develop, implement, and review clinical policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement and best practice.
  • Foster a culture of quality care, safety, and excellence through leadership, staff engagement, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
