Friday: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Administrative Assistant to join a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school we work closely with in Corby. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a supportive and dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities: As a School Administrative Assistant with SIMS experience, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

General Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the school, including answering phone calls, managing correspondence, and greeting visitors.
Student Records Management: Maintain and update student records using the School Information Management System (SIMS), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Attendance Monitoring: Record and monitor student attendance, following up on absences and producing attendance reports as required.
Data Entry: Accurately input and manage data in SIMS, ensuring that all information is up to date and correctly filed.
Communication: Liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies, ensuring effective communication within the school community.
Office Organisation: Ensure the administrative office is well-organised and efficient, managing supplies and resources.
Event Coordination: Assist in the planning and coordination of school events, meetings, and parent evenings.
Financial Administration: Support the finance department with basic tasks such as processing invoices and managing petty cash.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and data protection regulations.
Support to SEN Staff: Provide administrative support specific to the needs of the SEN department, including preparing documents and coordinating schedules.Requirements:

Previous administrative experience is essential.
School administrative experience is highly desirable.
Proficiency in using SIMS (School Information Management System) is required.
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
