NonStop are working with a Speech and Language Service is seeking an innovative and outcome-focused Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our exciting Post 16 service team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young people with continuing communication needs as they prepare for adulthood, while also delivering some school-based sessions.

About the Role

As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in our team, you will:
✔ Work primarily within the Post 16 team, supporting young people with EHCPs and targeted SEN support in general colleges and alternative learning settings for those aged 19-25.
✔ Have opportunities to contribute to mainstream and specialist school settings, depending on your experience and interests.
✔ Play a key role in shaping and developing our growing Post 16 service, working alongside Highly Specialist SLTs and colleagues supporting other colleges across Surrey.
✔ Work collaboratively with educational psychologists, learning and language support teams, REMA, and Behaviour Support, as part of the Inclusion & Additional Needs Team.

✔ Covering Elmbridge, Epsom & Ewell

Your Key Responsibilities

🔹 Assess, advise, and deliver interventions for children and young people with a range of speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN)
🔹 Provide clinical decision-making support to school/college staff to ensure the best outcomes
🔹 Supervise SLT Assistants, setting targets and monitoring intervention outcomes
🔹 Line manage junior team members and support student placements
🔹 Work within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating to support complex needs cases
