Audit Assistant Manager

Reed Accountancy are looking for an Audit Assistant Manager who is willing to join a medium-size accounting firm located in East London. The candidate will be responsible for the successful delivery of client-based audit assignments, including the leadership and coaching of junior team members. This role is ideal for an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant looking to step into their first management position.

Day to day of the role:
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and finalisation of all areas of the audit assignment for Director review, providing solutions and seeking input to areas of concern or judgement as appropriate.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, undertaking regular discussions to communicate audit progress, identifying solutions, and ensuring reasonable expectations are met.
  • Lead onsite teams, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and escalating any issues at the earliest opportunity as appropriate.
  • Communicate effectively with clients in both written and verbal exchanges, anticipating client needs as appropriate.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with both clients and internal teams at all levels.
  • Coach junior members of staff to deliver the best quality work, sharing knowledge and experience as appropriate.
  • Identify and highlight any business development opportunities evident from work undertaken.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • ACA/ACCA qualified accountant.
  • Solid foundation of practical accounting experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS102.
  • Positive and professional approach, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Solid foundation of auditing experience and knowledge of relevant accounting standards.
