Who are we looking for?

We are looking for individuals who have a passion for shaping the next generation. You'll have the opportunity to be a role model with the ability to develop your students' talents. You'll be able to maximise their potential, enabling them to achieve something they thought possible.

Energetic and driven. Your lessons must be effective and innovative, and support learners to progress and achieve success.  At BSDC we are very proud of our successful maths and English team who promote a strategy which enables learners to access a range of learning materials and additional support outside of the classroom environment.

The college prides itself in its dedicated, professional and friendly team. It is therefore crucial that you share our ethos and commitment to excellence, innovation and collaboration.

You do not need to have had teacher training to start teaching in FE. BSDC can support you to become a qualified teacher as part of the job and you could even be eligible for an FE initial teacher education (ITE) bursary to support your pre-service training in mathematics.

Information on the eligibility criteria and application process for the FE ITE bursaries offer can be found by following the link.
