First Choice Staff are recruiting on behalf of a major freight forwarder, who are looking for an Operations Assistant join their Night Export department.

The successful candidate will be self-driven and results-orientated with a strong background in export documentation within the Air Freight industry.

Shift: Mon - Fri, either 5pm - 1.30am or 6pm - 2.30am

Salary: £30k - £33k depending on experience

Daily tasks

· Producing MAWBs?and HAWBs?
· Producing CSDs??
· Check lot x-ray log?
· Check MUCR/DUCRs match in ICE?
· Any consol re-hashes?
· Cut/Close consols daily?
· To be able to service large accounts?
· Monitoring the gateway inbox, answering emails, queries etc.
· Check post-flights?
· Split documentation in Cargowise?
· General housekeeping when required.? Responsibilities

· To maintain systems and processes and to provide good customer service. Production & preparation of and all related requirements for exports.?
· HMC control requirements to enable exports?
· To liaise with airlines, branches and warehouse
· To ensure shipment procedures are followed according to procedures?
· To maintain accurate data on company systems?
· To match Export Records for export customs
· Ensure that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures, and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment? Requirements

· Strong background in Exports within the Air Freight industry
· Microsoft Office, Word and Excel?
· Good communicator
· Team Player?
· Experience with Security "Regulated Agent" and CargoWise would be preferred but not essential?
