Our client, a top 50 UK accountancy firm, is seeking an ambitious Audit Senior to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional looking to advance their career within a well-established and respected organisation.
Position Overview
As an Audit Senior, you will play a crucial role in leading audit assignments for a diverse range of medium to large, owner-managed clients across various industries. Your expertise and leadership will ensure the efficient and effective completion of audits, contributing to the firm's reputation for delivering high-quality services and maintaining strong client relationships.
Responsibilities

Plan and perform audits, leading a team of junior staff

Obtain background data for audit planning and prepare financial statements

Draft management letters, reports, and corporation tax computations

Ensure time budgets are maintained and supervise junior staff

Liaise with other departments to efficiently complete assignments

Actively participate in technical training sessions and maintain client confidentiality
Requirements

ACA or ACCA qualified, or a finalist

Minimum 3 years' experience within a multi-partner practice, with at least 50% audit exposure

Strong technical knowledge of accounting (particularly FRS102 and 1A) and auditing standards

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to build strong relationships with staff and clients

Aptitude for teamwork, problem-solving, and working under pressure

Desire for long-term career enhancement and willingness to undertake new experiences
