My client, a household name in Finance, is searching for a Java Developer to join a dynamic team working on cutting-edge applications. This is an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-level projects, leveraging the latest technologies in Java, Spring Boot, and API development.

Location: 3 days on-site in Birmingham, rest remote
Rate: £460+ per day
Contract: 6+ months

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimise Java-based applications using Spring Boot
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices for scalable solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and reliability
• Ensure code quality, security, and best practices are followed
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment
• Work with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools (preferred)

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong commercial experience in Java (Java 8+)
• Expertise in Spring Boot & Microservices architecture
• API Development & Integration (RESTful, SOAP, GraphQL, etc.)
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
• Experience in financial services or enterprise-level applications (desirable)
