Michael Page are recruiting for an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant on behalf of a well-established organisation based in the heart of Manchester City Centre.

Client Details

This role will work closely with the management accountant and is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate looking to gain more day to day exposure to month end management accounts whist progressing with their studies.

Description

The key responsibilities of an Assistant Management Accountant will include:

• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with P&L completion & analysis
• Journals - accruals & prepayments
• Assist with VAT returns
• Assist with month-end and year-end
• Ad hoc tasks as required by the Management Accountant

Profile

The successful Assistant Management Accountant will:

• AAT qualified or be part qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA.
• Have a proven track record in a finance role with some knowledge of month end processes.
• Proficient with accounting software and knowledge of MS excel.
• Be an excellent written and verbal communicator.
• Be able to work to tight deadlines.
• Have a high level of attention to detail.
