Radley Green is partnering exclusively with a fast-growth facilities business looking for their first in-house Finance Manager.
The role will oversee the financial operations of this business going through a period of growth. The responsibilities will include reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will work with senior management to provide financial insights for decision-making.
This is a newly created position, reporting into the CEO and Managing Director. The successful candidate will work closely with the external accountant to bring finance "in-house". This role involves establishing, refining, and implementing comprehensive financial systems and processes.
This role will give the successful candidate a clear opportunity to become Finance Director within 2 years.
The role will pay £65k to £75k plus bonus and benefits including fully paid travel. The company are based in central London and in the office 4 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review accurate financial statements
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budget process and monitor financial performance against targets.
- Financial Planning: Conduct analysis to identify trends and collaborate with departments on aligned financial plans.
- Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow and optimize accounts receivable and payable processes.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor finance team members.
- Act as a business partner for internal and external stakeholders, as well as Commercial leads and managers.
- Site Analysis: Monitoring site trends and client margins to drive profitability and growth of the business.
- Systems development: Review and develop current finance systems.
Requirements of the role:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
- Experience working in a similar role, ideally within an SME/growth business.
- Experience producing in depth analysis to aid decision making processes.
- Strong Excel skills are required
- Able to work independently and manage a growing finance function.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide actionable financial insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to convey financial information to non-finance colleagues.
