Salary: £31,586 - £34,314 per annum, inclusive of 2024/2025 pay awardWorking Pattern: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Location: Your office base will be County Hall, Chichester and a typical week will combine homeworking with attendance at the office. This is led by the needs of the service.

We're looking for a Finance Officer with experience to support the team with the delivery of high quality financial management and accountancy services to clients. As an accounting technician, you will support the team with your strong technical and analytical skills, assisting on large complex budgets. You will have strong communication skills to be able to interact effectively with the service, to help support them to manage their budgets.

The role will involve working with Adult Social Care budgets. The service is experiencing a period of unprecedented change, where people are living longer resulting in significant growth in demand for social care services. Since we want to make sure West Sussex is a great place to live, the County Council recognises this challenge and has an ambitious improvement programme. At the heart of this is an aim to promote independence by enabling people to stay healthier and live in their homes and communities for longer. Linking financial data with performance information, and with a naturally enquiring mind, you will play an essential role in supporting the service to build a sustainable model for delivering adult social care services.
