Our client is a leading food manufacturer, that values hard work, teamwork and developing people. They are part of a global group with multiple sites in the UK, this is their biggest factory employing over 500 people. Due to growth within the site, they are looking for a number of experienced HGV Technicians to maintain their fleet of HGV, LGV vehicles and trailers.

Role & Responsibilities:

Working in a team of X10 HGV Technicians
Carry out servicing, repairs, MOT inspections to a fleet of 120 HGV rigid & artic vehicles
Make sure services are in line with company VOSA and DVSA standards
Use software based diagnostic equipment to repair faults
Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs to fleet vehicles and trailers
Ensure all inspection, repair job cards and service records are up to date at end of shift
Maintain the upkeep of the operators licence

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Must have at least 3 years experience as a HGV Technician
City & Guilds Level 3 in Vehicle Craft / HGV Maintenance
Knowledge of HGV inspections and service scheduling
Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding & servicing skills
Able to work effectively & efficiently to complete DVSA MOT / VOSA requirements
Expected to drive vehicles around - ideally have a Class 1 or 2 HGV Licence
Beneficial to have experience of working on DAF or IVECO HGV's
Good time management, problem solving skills and attention to detail
Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team
Must be physically fit - with no major medical conditions
