We are looking for a Commercial Director to join a tech-driven company specialising in automated vehicle inspection systems. They specialise in high-resolution imaging technology to detect damage, monitor vehicle conditions, and create records for industries like automotive manufacturing, logistics, rental, and remarketing. Their solutions help OEMs, ports, logistics companies, and car rental services to manage vehicle handovers, damage detection, and liability tracking.
They were founded in 2011 and have grown significantly since their inception, and have secured multiple rounds of funding which has helped accelerate their technological advancements and global expansion. Their systems have captured over 100 million image sets which has helped their cause for partnering with major players across the globe, including the likes of Jaguar, Toyota and BMW.
You will be managing the Sales team (current team of 3), and would be in charge of building a fit for purpose team.
Typical responsibilities would include:
- Leadership: Manage senior-level customer interactions, including prospecting, product demos, SOW/SLA preparation, pricing, and contract negotiations.
- Sales Process Improvement: Strengthen sales processes and pipeline management with enhanced reporting.
- Pipeline Building: Develop a long-term sales pipeline by prospecting within existing accounts and targeting new OEMs.
- Pricing Strategy: Implement higher pricing based on a stronger customer value proposition tailored to each new system install.
- Contract Management: Introduce contracts aligned with product capabilities and company objectives.
- Customer Support: Enhance customer support with robust KPIs and reporting
The ideal candidate would have a technical background/understanding, be confident selling both hardware and software solutions, have experience managing lengthy sales cycles and contract negotiations, and have first hand experience selling into global Tier 1 Enterprise businesses.
