Your Role:

As a Senior Data Protection Adviser, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our client's compliance with data protection regulations. You will lead the day-to-day delivery of the Data Protection service, review and develop policies and processes, provide training and support, and manage data protection projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Being the primary contact for data protection enquiries
  • Managing and responding to enquiries, ensuring transparency and a traceable audit trail
  • Managing data protection breaches and minimising risk
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on data protection documents
  • Coordinating responses to individual rights requests
  • Developing and reviewing Data Sharing Agreements and Data Processing Agreements
  • Promoting staff engagement and awareness of data protection matters
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Managing and maintaining the 'Data Protection Hub' SharePoint site
  • Supporting ad-hoc projects and initiatives
  • Maintaining and developing the 'Data Protection Champions' peer group

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A good general standard of education and/or evidence of continued professional development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, SharePoint, and CRM systems
  • A formal Data Protection qualification (desirable)
  • A detailed understanding of data protection regulations
  • Experience providing helpdesk support
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Strong communication and team working skills
  • The ability to meet tight deadlines and work with minimal supervision
