Flux Consulting have partnered with a well-established Consultancy who have a passion and strong expertise in working on educational projects. We are looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join the team and you'll be based in and around the area of Bushey, Hertfordshire.
As a key member of the estates team, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving the academy's buildings and infrastructure. You will oversee condition surveys, compliance, refurbishment projects, and long-term estate planning to ensure a safe and inspiring learning environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities Of This Role To Include;
* Conduct condition surveys and compliance assessments across the estate
* Lead and manage refurbishment, maintenance, and capital projects
* Provide professional advice on building fabric, statutory compliance, and sustainability
* Work closely with external contractors, consultants, and local authorities
* Develop and implement estate improvement strategies aligned with educational needs
* Ensure all work meets health, safety, and safeguarding regulations
The Ideal Applicant Will Possess;
* Chartered (MRICS) or working towards chartership (highly desirable)
* Proven experience in building surveying, ideally within the education sector
* Strong knowledge of building regulations, planning, and compliance
* Experience managing projects, budgets, and stakeholders
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
