Salary: £70000 - £75000/annum plus package

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical & Electrical Site Manager.

The M&E Site Manager will take the lead on all mechanical & electrical related tasks on a multi-million pound new build water treatment project, ensuring that all aspects of the installation are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

* Co-ordinate closely within the project team, subcontractors under their control, the client's team and facilitate the progress of works, providing accurate information to allow progress to be updated onto the Programme.

* Establish the milestones required to ensure successful progression and completion and communicate those clearly to the package contractors.

* Ensure that on site instructions from client's authorised personnel are being recorded and managed.

* Coordinate installation drawings, participate with commissioning and handover, including defects identification, managing ITP's, snagging and closure.

* Manage and monitor performance of engineering staff and specialist sub-contractors, ensuring completion of M&E related tasks in accordance with construction plans, and drawings.

* Be pro-active in allocating work ensuring efficient deployment of subcontractors.

* Takes ownership of Mechanical & Electrical issues.

* Collaboration on the project completion report and summarizing the lessons learned.

* Manage the site operation function to ensure the effective delivery of the works as per schedule.

* Ensure that safety standards are understood, implemented and maintained by all team members and contractors.

* Assist the onsite construction team to ensure that subcontractors work to the program and construction sequence.

* Raise any issues that may affect progress, ensure that quality, benchmarks etc are maintained and delivered at all times.

Skills & Attributes

* Previous experience working as an Site Manager ideally on multi-million pound projects.

* Previous experience working in the water industry is desirable but not essential.

* Motivation attitude.

* Be commercially aware and manage change.

* Hold relevant construction qualifications.

* Will need to be able to understand design principles, method statements, Inspection Test Plans, Risk Assessments, commissioning and handover requirements.

* Able to effectively communicate with client, subcontractors, consultants and other team members.

* First Aid / H&S qualification.

* Proficient computer skills to include Excel, Word and PowerPoint,

* The candidate must have:
- A full, UK Driving Licence.
- Good knowledge of current Health & Safety procedures.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Be self-motivated with a "can do" attitude.
- PC Literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Work well in a busy team environment.

Salary:

£70-75k per year.
