ASD-friendly and SEN-focused, the school has a reputation for offering strong support networks for staff, a fantastic pastoral care system, and a commitment to ensuring that all students have access to high-quality learning experiences.

The leadership team is proactive in making sure staff feel valued and supported, and the school is well-resourced with a range of educational tools and strategies in place to support students with varying needs.

Application Requirements:

• Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ideally in a school setting.
• A solid understanding of SEN practices and strategies for supporting students with ASD.
• The ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of children with ASD, creating a supportive and positive environment.
• Strong communication skills, both with students and staff, and the ability to build strong working relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them engage with the curriculum and participate in class activities.
• Assist in Key Stage 1 classrooms, supporting teachers and helping to implement individualized learning plans.
• Use a variety of strategies and techniques to engage and motivate students with ASD, including visual supports, social stories, and sensory resources.
• Support the emotional and social development of students, promoting positive behavior and helping them to manage their emotions effectively.
• Work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other staff to track progress and adapt support strategies as needed.

Perks and Benefits:
