We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a prestigious Tier 1 Main Contractor based in Ashford. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong quantity surveying background in the construction sector who is looking to take on a senior role.

The Role: You will lead a team of quantity surveyors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of multiple construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the complete quantity surveying process for multiple projects, from initial cost estimates to final accounts.

* Manage procurement processes and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.

* Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any financial issues that arise.

* Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices throughout the project lifecycle

* Manage and mentor a team of quantity surveyors, providing guidance and support for effective project delivery.

* Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring accurate financial reporting and adhering to project timelines.

* Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project success.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong background in managing teams and preferably delivering projects in the education sector.

* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

* Excellent leadership and team management skills.

* Strong analytical and numerical abilities, with attention to detail.

* Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
