This company was founded over 20 years ago and is an online platform that connects people to buy, sell, or trade a variety of products. This global platform has been expanding and currently has over 300 employees. They are looking to enhance their data platform and have been acquired by an investment fund which are investing in their growth.

THIS ROLE

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be…

• Collaborating, coaching and mentoring other engineers and team members
• Minimising technical risks and ensure a high-quality output
• Supervising and overseeing the technical aspects of the projects
• Ensuring all deliverables are thoroughly testes
• Communicate with engineers across different functions and oversee delivery of a cross-platform project
• Lead and work comfortably with offshore and nearshore teams

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Senior Backend Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in engineering
• Experience in Java, Spring, PostgreSQL, Kafka or Pubsub, Docker, Cloud & Kubernetes
• Leading and mentoring experience
