Secondary Teaching Assistant - Doncaster

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Salary: £85 - £100 per day

GSL Education is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistants to support students in secondary schools across Doncaster. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and eager to make a difference in students' learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, helping them access the curriculum.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and tailored lessons.
Support students with SEN, behavioural challenges, or additional learning needs.
Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Encourage student participation, independence, and confidence.
Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and school activities.

Requirements:

Experience working with secondary school-aged students (in school settings, tutoring, or youth work).
Understanding of SEN, Autism, ADHD, and behavioural needs is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
