Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Field-Based – Commercial Sites)

Location: Covering Multiple Commercial Client Sites (London)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 (DOE)

We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in a field-based role, servicing a range of commercial client sites — including office buildings, retail outlets, healthcare facilities, and more. You’ll be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance and responsive repair work across mechanical systems, including plumbing, ensuring our clients’ buildings operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out mechanical maintenance tasks across a portfolio of commercial sites
• Diagnose and repair faults in HVAC systems, pumps, valves, pipework, and general building services
• Undertake plumbing work such as pipe installations, leak detection and repairs, and drainage maintenance
• Provide responsive support for emergency call-outs and urgent repairs
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with all documentation and procedures
• Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally on-site
• Adhere to all site-specific health and safety regulations

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally within commercial property or facilities management
• Sound plumbing knowledge – pipe fitting, leak repairs, sanitary systems, etc.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Good understanding of building services and commercial plant room equipment
• Full UK driving license (essential)
• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
