Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 6 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team at Stockport NHS Trust. In this role, you will provide specialist therapeutic support for children, assessing and treating their developmental, physical, and emotional needs. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of young patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine children's therapeutic needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve motor, cognitive, and sensory skills
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals, to provide holistic care
  • Educate families on interventions, goals, and exercises to support their child's ongoing development at home
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with trust policies

Requirements:

  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with a focus in paediatrics
  • Proven experience working with children with a range of developmental and physical needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with young patients and their families
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a dynamic healthcare environment
