Job Opportunity: HLTA to Support Year 7 Pupil (1:1)

Are you passionate about making a difference in a young person's life? We're seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide 1:1 support to a Year 7 pupil with Social, Emotional, and Behavioural Difficulties at a fantastic school in Abergavenny, South Wales.

This full-time, long-term opportunity is ideal for someone with the experience and compassion needed to help a pupil thrive both academically and emotionally.

About the Role

* Start date: ASAP

* Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

* Pay: Excellent rates starting from £110 per day (depending on experience)

About the Pupil

The pupil requires:

* Trauma-informed emotional support to address attachment and trauma needs.

* Assistance with underdeveloped communication skills and forming meaningful relationships.

* Support for phonetic writing, low vocabulary, and short word use.

* Strategies for managing ADHD and autism (beneficial experience).

What We're Looking For

* Proven experience supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.

* The ability to provide trauma-sensitive support and build trust.

* Experience working with children with ADHD and autism is highly beneficial.

* A calm, patient, and nurturing approach.
