Role: Support Site Engineer

Location: Portland

Hours: Full Time (40 hours/week, 7.30am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday)

Pay: £28-35k / year (depending on experience)

A great opportunity has opened up for a Support Site Engineer to join one of our valued clients, a dynamic company based in Portland.

The Role:

* Support the M&E Engineer in maintaining and servicing all site machinery.

* Conduct preventative maintenance, diagnose minor faults, and carry out repairs.

* Ensure compliance with health & safety and site maintenance procedures.

* Operate and manage the automated gantry system during discharges.

* Maintain plant inspection schedules and support documentation/reporting.

* Keep the site and stores clean and organized.

The Requirements:

* Relevant qualification (BTech/C&G/NVQ) or equivalent mechanical/electrical experience.

* 2-3 years in a similar industry (production, warehouse, ports, shipping preferred).

* Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and make quick decisions.

* A team player with strong communication skills and a hands-on attitude.

* Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends & nights during vessel discharges.

* Full UK driving license & machinery operation experience.
