Rate: £522 per day, inside IR35

LHH are currently partnered with an investment bank who are looking for a Product controller to join them on an interim basis.

The Product Control and Financial Control teams are responsible for the financial controls and reporting of the company and it's subsidiaries. These teams sits within the wider Finance group which also includes Regulatory Reporting and Treasury.This P&L Reporting role sits within the Product Control team and includes many responsibilities which overlap with the functions of the Financial Control team.It is an important role in the Finance department as the principle face off to the Front Office traders for the daily P&L reporting of the Securities and Derivatives Trading desks.

Responsibilities as a Product Controller

• Help provide assistance to the Daily P&L controllers in the reporting for all products, but the primary focus is on the derivative trading P&L (swap portfolio)
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations across securities and fee balance sheet accounts and derivative accounts.
• Generate and post GL journal entries for daily and month end close
• Month, Quarter and Year End close process for SPG and DPG related GL balances and reporting
• P&L Analysis and break investigations
• Perform Front to Back Reconciliations (FOBO) and help resolve breaks
• Assisting with other ongoing and ad-hoc work as required to support the Finance function. Help with Audit queries and cover for other staff members where needs arise
• Assist with Project work relating to the Product control team (UAT and other tasks linked to the deployment of enhancements)
• Help run End of day processes
