A leading manufacturing business in Coventry is seeking an electrically certified Maintenance Engineer to join their extremely busy facility, working on a double day (Morning/Afternoon) shift basis, you will lead effective reactive and planned preventative maintenance works and ensure accurate record keeping.

Commutable from:  Coventry, Warwick, Nuneaton, Birmingham

Salary: Excellent Salary plus benefits including paid overtime, pension and extended annual leave.

The Role

The Maintenance Engineer will support planned and reactive maintenance including:

Developing and delivering the maintenance plan.
Conduct inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
Checking electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings and machinery to ensure functionality
Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
Monitoring the equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
Managing relationships with contractors and service providers
Keeping accurate maintenance logs and report on daily activities
Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.
 
The Person

The successful candidate for the Maintenance Engineer position will possess a proven record in manufacturing plant and operations maintenance including:

HND or equivalent in Engineering and an electrical Installation qualification
Proven experience as maintenance engineer/ technician
Experience in planning maintenance schedules
Solid understanding of technical aspects of mechanical and electrical systems etc.
Working knowledge of facilities/building fabric repair.
Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational skills

Flexibility is needed to cover the rotating morning and afternoon shift pattern (6am-2pm & 2pm -10pm) and the ability to work in a highly collaborative manner with regular customer visitors to site.
