About Us:We are a welcoming and inclusive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Lewisham, committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for our students. We cater to children with a range of learning and physical needs, and our dedicated team works to ensure that each child feels valued and empowered to achieve their best.

We are currently seeking a reliable, consistent, and positive Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team. This is a part-time position during school lunchtimes, with the possibility of increasing hours and taking on a wider support role as you establish yourself within the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assist students during lunch breaks, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and orderly environment.
  • Support students with SEN, offering assistance with eating, social interaction, and personal care if necessary.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, helping students to engage appropriately with their peers and staff.
  • Work closely with the wider school team to maintain a caring and supportive atmosphere.
  • Set up and clear the dining areas as needed, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness.
  • Provide support during indoor and outdoor play, promoting inclusive activities for all students.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, reporting any concerns about student behaviour or wellbeing.

What We're Looking For:

  • Reliability and consistency in maintaining a positive and calm approach when supervising students.
  • An open-minded and supportive attitude, with a willingness to understand and work with students of varying abilities and needs.
  • Experience working with children or in a school environment is preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff alike.
  • A patient, caring nature and a genuine desire to support the development of young people.
  • Punctuality and professionalism at all times.
