The Role - Year 6 Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join a full-time permanent position starting in September 2024. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and capable of inspiring students as they prepare for the transition to secondary school. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational and personal development of Year 6 pupils.

Key Responsibilities For Year 6 Teacher:

• Lesson Planning and Delivery: Create and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of Year 6 students.
• Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement strategies to support students' academic and personal growth.
• Classroom Management: Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect, participation, and a love of learning.
• Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to support the holistic development of students, particularly in preparing them for secondary education.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional learning and contribute to school-wide initiatives and events.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching at the primary level, ideally in Key Stage 2 and specifically Year 6.
• A comprehensive understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and effective teaching strategies, particularly in preparation for SATs and transition to secondary school.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Able to commute to Croydon
