Interim Head of Economic Development - 800 per day - South West - Council - Hybrid Working - 12 Months

The council is at a pivotal point in its regeneration plans and an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Council as its Economic Development & Regeneration Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of areas including the development and implementation of related strategies. They will also ensure the delivery of the borough's regeneration focused projects, and alignment to relevant legislation policy and procedures. incorporating appropriate stakeholder engagement

Two key projects currently underway are the £1m UKSPF funded Digital Programme which we are utilising to implement the Council's Digital Strategy and also the £18million pound Re-connecting a Historic Waterfront Levelling Up Project.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a knowledge of external grant funding opportunities and have the ability to respond proactively to competing priorities

The role involves direct line management responsibilities and the successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships, communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all colleagues, elected members and external partners.
