If so, my client who are a market leader in the design and manufacture of a range of Fire System products are looking to grow and develop their team.

You will be an engineer with specialist knowledge and experience of developing ATE for production test of electronic products ranging from small low-density PCBs, through high density PCBs to large multi PCB assemblies.

The ideal Electronics Test Development Engineer based in Wigan will design, develop and maintain test fixtures, provide technical support to their production team, monitor and analyse test data, propose, initiate and deploy improvements, maintain a safe working environment, support operations and liaise with internal departments.

Collaborating with the R&D team during product development, you will define and implement the test strategy for functional and compliance requirements. This can range from low volume manual test to high volume, fully automated programme and test.

As an Electronics Test Development Engineer, you will have previous experience reading and understanding Digital and Analogue schematic diagrams, In-Circuit Test Systems, finding faults down to component level on complex PCB's and using all test equipment in an electronics environment. Experience with programming languages is key ideally with LabVIEW.
