Hourly rate: £18 per hour

Our client, a leading company in the facilities management industry, is seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Technician to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, machinery, and systems within the facility.
• Conduct inspections to identify and address maintenance needs promptly.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for larger repairs and installations.
• Monitor and respond to facility alarms and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and work orders.
• Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance programmes.
• Ensure that all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
• Collaborate with other members of the facilities team to support organisation-wide initiatives.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders and external contractors.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Facilities Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Proficient in the use of tools and equipment commonly used in facilities maintenance.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service-oriented with a professional demeanour.
