Are you a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in a dynamic manufacturing environment? Look no further! Our clients are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at their manufacturing plant.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our manufacturing equipment. You will be responsible for conducting preventive maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing machinery, and performing reactive breakdown repairs and modifications. Your expertise and attention to detail will help maintain production efficiency and minimize downtime.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer key responsibilities:

Maintain the site mechanical plant and equipment to ensure the efficient and safe working of the plant.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform repairs, and replace faulty components.
Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of machinery.
Attend break downs and assist the Electrician with his shift duties.
To work closely with shift colleagues, charge hands, operators, maintenance charge hand, shift managers, production manager, and works manager to ensure the sites targets and objectives are achieved.
Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately in the maintenance management system.
Adhere to safety protocols and always ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Requirements:
Proven experience within a Mechanical Maintenance role within a manufacturing facility.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
Ability to fault find and test automated machinery.
Strong knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
Welding and Cutting experience would be advantageous.
Effective communication skills and must be able to work as part of a team.
Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
