Job Vacancy: EYFS Assistant (EYFS Class)

PAY: £90 - £110 per day

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated EYFS Assistant to join our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team at our vibrant primary school in Haringey. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the learning and development of young children, helping them to build a solid foundation for their future education.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences that align with the EYFS curriculum

* Provide 1:1 and small group support to children, focusing on their individual learning needs and helping them develop key skills in literacy, numeracy, phonics and social development

* Support students in developing SLCN, developing fine and gross motor skills

* Supporting students with additional needs and disabilities

Essential Skills & Experience:

* Experience working with children in an early years or primary school setting, ideally within an EYFS class

* A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and developmental milestones

* A patient, caring, and flexible approach to working with young children

* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable:

* Experience working with children who have additional needs, including special educational needs (SEN)

* Knowledge of phonics and early literacy strategies

* An understanding of effective strategies to support social and emotional development in young children
