Teaching Personnel are working with an Outstanding Specialist College (Ofsted, November 2019) providing life-changing learning opportunities to young people and adults with special education needs and/or disabilities. With eight vibrant community-based College Centres across London and Surrey, who serve over 400 students.

Job Description:

They are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our dynamic team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with our Lecturing staff to facilitate educational activities for adults with special needs. Your key responsibilities include:

Providing individualised support to students to aid their learning process
Implementing therapy, health, and well-being programmes as directed
Ensuring correct implementation of individual learning programmes
Collaborating with colleagues to maintain a positive learning environment
Maintaining students' well-being at all times
Required Qualifications:

Experience in working with individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Previous experience in caring or voluntary work with individuals with special needs
Knowledge of best practises in supporting individuals with learning disabilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant qualification in Special Education or related field
Additional training in areas such as therapy or special education
Working Conditions:

Full-Time position, working across multiple College Centres if required
Interacting with students with diverse needs and abilities
Collaborating closely with Lecturing staff, Nurses, and Therapists
