Job description
The Wilmott Group proudly owns and operates companies including WB Power Services Ltd, the leading critical power solutions provider and Wiltech Acoustics Ltd, an acoustic solutions company. Through a sustained period of growth, we now have a vacancy in our shared service operation for a payroll manager. You will be responsible for the end-to-end process of payroll for hourly and salaried members of staff, ensuring processes are adhered to, timelines are met and we deliver a first class service to our internal customers.
You will join us at a critical and exciting period of growth and evolution as we seek to implement an efficient and effective payroll management system, and you will play a critical and crucial role in the implementation and roll out of this.
Key Responsibilities: -

Working to all Wilmott Group Ltd ISO9001/14001/45001 policies and procedures.
Understanding the current mechanisms in place for payroll and in the short term identify efficiencies we can make immediately across all group companies
Accurate processing of new starters and leavers ensuring information is captured and reported accurately.
Understand how the timesheet submission data translates into payroll for our hourly paid members of staff and get to gips with the intricacies of various shift patterns.
Assist with implementation of the new system, ensuing that improvements made with the current system you have implemented are carried across
Management of pensions ensuring all legislation regarding auto enrolments are adhered to
Own the submission of information to HMRC relating to payroll and benefits
Complete P11D's submissions
Work with our external payroll provider until we have completed the new system implementationThe person:

Level 3 CIPP qualification
At least 3 years experience of running a complex payroll system
Natural builder of strong working partnerships across all levels and functions of the business
Effective manager of key internal stakeholder relationships.
Strong Excel skills - intermediate user or above
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
Strong communication skills across various formats.
