Aspire People are excited to be working with a dynamic secondary school in South Birmingham, who are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate English Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator to inspire students and support their development in English language and literature. The successful candidate will be someone who is committed to raising standards, nurturing talent, and delivering engaging lessons that foster a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Inspire students to engage with and appreciate English literature, language, and writing.
Plan, prepare, and assess differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all students.
Regularly track and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support.
Encourage a positive classroom environment and effective behaviour management.
Work closely with colleagues to promote high standards of teaching and learning.
Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities, such as literary clubs or events.
Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching English at secondary school level.
Passionate about the subject and dedicated to student success.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong classroom management and organisational abilities.
Motivated, creative, and able to inspire a love of literature and language in students.
Ability to work well within a team and demonstrate flexibility.
