Poolhall Recruitment are recruiting for a learning coach for a School in Walsall. The role will be dealing with challenging children with behavioural problems so it is essential to be comfortable with this to be successful in the role. If you have minimum qualification of Grade C/4 in English and Maths at GCSE level and experience with working with children this could be your next job!

Learning Coaches work under the direction of the Senior Leadership Team and provide outstanding pastoral care and in class support to our students. The successful candidate will be expected to complete a range of duties including Key Working students, supporting students in lessons, attending meetings, being a key contact for parents/carers and ensuring staff have the right information to support the needs of the students in the classroom. The successful candidate will be responsible for a class of students and deliver Skills (Personal Development) activities to their group. Additional training and meetings will be required after school as directed by SLT.

Learning Coaches are a vital role within our school and support teaching staff to transform students so they are successful members of their communities. Learning Coaches will be required to cover short term staff absences under the direction of SLT and will support all staff to ensure that students are effectively safeguarded. Learning Coaches are responsible for their groups of students at lunchtimes.

The applicants should have experience of dealing with students who display challenging behaviour and should have worked in a relevant educational setting. All applicants must have a minimum qualification of Grade C/4 in English and Maths at GCSE level.

Staff should have a real interest in both the academic and pastoral aspects of education and should be committed to working as part of a close-knit, supportive team.

The successful candidate will be working approximately 8.00am - 16.00pm, Monday - Friday. Additional training and meetings will be required after school as directed by management.
