Location: Tees Valley Hospital, Middlesbrough

Hours: 18 hours per week, Part-time

The role:

We currently have a great new opportunity for a Accounts Assistant Booking Clerk to join our team at our Tees Valley Hospital, based in Middlesbrough.

Duties will include:

  • Assist the Finance Manager in all aspects of the financial processes of the hospital
  • Liaise closely with the Business Administration Manager / Team Leader
  • Completion of relevant financial reports as required
  • Timely response to all requests for information
  • Escalate identified issues to the Finance Manager in a timely manner
  • Recording of receipts and payments on accounting software
  • Posting of cash to customer accounts and undertaking credit control
  • Reviewing supplier invoices for accuracy prior to manager approval
  • Preparation of sales invoices
  • Administration of petty cash and customer payments

As a Accounts Assistant you will be a methodical and accurate individual with excellent organisational skills to join our team. Working as part of the patient accounts team, the role will include preparing daily bankings and patient billing. You will be dealing with telephone and email enquiries from patients and insurance companies.

What you'll bring with you:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn additional software

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Good time management skills

  • Previous experience of having worked in a hospital setting
