Maintenance Engineer, Electrical or Mechanical, Shifts, Ashbourne, Derbyshire to £52,000 + bonuses / overtime

Three Shift Rotation (5:30-14:00, 13:30-22:00, 21:30-6:00)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading environmental and manufacturing outfit based in Derbyshire. They are a leading multi-million pound business in their sector and due to growth they seeking two Maintenance Engineers to join an efficient and experienced maintenance team, comprised of multi-skilled engineers, reliability engineers, and compliance engineers. This role offers a varied day-to-day experience, working on both brand new and historical machinery where no breakdown is the same. If you're looking for a new challenge, there is no better opportunity. If you're either bias, they'll upskill you in the other as long as you have the willingness to progress, learn and take initiative. The type of components/machinery you can expect to work with are mixers, screw conveyors and belts, bearings, chains, sprockets, automated bagging lines, weighing systems, wrapping machines, switchers/leavers, gear-boxes, proximity/photosensors and Siemens/Allen Bradley PLCs.

Typical duties:
• Regularly inspect and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and other system malfunctions.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Keep detailed logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and future reference.
• Work closely with production, quality control, and other teams to ensure smooth operations and address any maintenance-related concerns.

Desirable experience:
• Previous experience in a preventative planned maintenance setting.
• Ideally multi-skilled (either bias) but will strongly consider a mechanical skill-set with standard electrical skills.
• Understanding of basic continuous improvement tools and techniques.
• Ideally holds a Level 3 qualification.
• Previous experience within a industrious manufacturing environment. Manufacturing
