Assistant Financial Controller

As the Assistant Financial Controller you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day financial activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting & forecasting, maintaining financial records and implementing financial controls.

Alongside the Financial Controller, General Manager and other Heads of Department you will be involved in the production of the venue annual budget as well as producing the bi-weekly forecast with the General Manager as and when necessary.

The role of Assistant Financial Controller is a full-time role that involves working Monday to Friday during office hours on site.

Your Skills and Experience:

• You will have experience in a financial role that has involved purchase ledge work, preferably within the hospitality/events industry to give you the knowledge and understanding of payroll/productivity for the events industry, and of wet and dry stocks however, this is not essential.
• Proficiency in using financial management software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• You have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem solving
• You have effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and develop other members of the team
• It would also be beneficial if you had a HOSPA qualification
