We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Foundation Learning Tutor to join our educational team. This pivotal role focuses on teaching life skills to students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) within the Further Education sector. If you have a genuine passion for education and a commitment to student development, we encourage you to apply.

Day to day of the role:

  • Craft and deliver a curriculum centred around life skills that caters to the unique needs of SEND students.
  • Design and implement personalised learning plans to track and support student progress.
  • Regularly assess student work, providing feedback that motivates and guides learners towards their goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports diverse learning styles.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to ensure best practices in SEND education.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree in Education or a related discipline.
  • A valid teaching qualification for the Further Education sector.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role, with a focus on life skills and SEND students.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect with and inspire a diverse student body.
  • A proactive approach to creating and maintaining an inclusive educational environment.
  • DBS on the update service or the willingness to apply for one.
