Deputy Nursery Manager

Salary: £33,000, depending on experience

Are you a passionate and experienced early years professional looking for the next step in your career? Our client’s small and welcoming nursery is seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager to help lead their dedicated team and provide exceptional care and education for young children.

As Deputy Nursery Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the nursery, supporting staff, and creating a safe and engaging learning environment for all children.

What We’re Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Education or equivalent
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a nursery setting
• Strong knowledge of EYFS framework and regulations
• Excellent communication, organizational, and team-building skills
• An understanding of diversity, equality, and inclusion in early childhood education
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and outside agencies

Responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day operations of the nursery
• Assist in leading and managing a team of educators and staff
• Ensure the provision of high-quality care and education for all children
• Implement and oversee curriculum planning and assessment
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Maintain a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow
• Adhere to all policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
• Support continuous professional development for staff
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed
