Financial Controller - an exciting opening has emerged with opportunities for future growth with our client.

This is a hands-on, broad all-round role for a thriving manufacturing business, based in Warrington. Working closely with the Founder, other Senior Management and all levels of colleagues, your communication skills must be exceptional. You will be advising, reporting and setting up new systems to ensure the productivity of the business continues to grow. The business is expanding, and you will play a key part in delivering their ambitious 5-Year Plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Finalisation of monthly financial statements for Group reporting and year-end reconciliation.
• Collaborating with various departments to enhance profitability through strategic partnerships.
• Analysing margins and sales figures to identify trends and opportunities.
• Implementing measures to control costs within specific departments.
• Evaluating the financial consequences of business strategies and decisions.
• Planning and overseeing cash flow operations daily.
• Supervising the Finance department's functions, including credit management, accounts payable, and reporting.
• Implementing and monitoring procedures for managing debtors effectively.
• Developing annual budgets in accordance with Group guidelines.
• Overseeing the annual statutory audit process.

Profile

• Candidates are required to be fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong MS Excel experience is essential
• An ambitious attitude and a questioning mind would be a great attribute
