A well-known global payment company is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join its busy finance team. As Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing  financial statements and accounts, budgeting, managing ledgers, processing invoices, preparing for annual audits and preparing VAT returns. In addition, you will establish and maintain relationships with global offices and have an Accounts assistant reporting to you. Initially, you will be required to roll out the implementation of a new invoicing system so experience having done this previously is vital. We’re looking for an Assistant Accountant with:

• Experience improving invoice payment processes
• Experience using/implementing SAP accounting systems
• Strong accounting skills and an understanding of accounting processes and UK GAAP
• Knowledge of fixed asset registers (depreciation, accruals, prepayment)
• Experience preparing balance sheets
• knowledge of financial audits
• supervisory experience
