Primary Responsibilities
  • Assemble new pumps for original equipment (OE) and aftermarket orders, ensuring efficiency and adherence to work instructions.
  • Dismantle, repair, and reassemble service pumps for OE and aftermarket orders while maintaining quality standards.
  • Work within the assembly department to ensure cost-effective manufacturing while meeting quality requirements.
  • Take responsibility for the quality of your work, including self-inspection and completion of all necessary documentation and checklists.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager and other departments to resolve assembly-related issues, ensuring timely documentation and compliance with procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation and updating of assembly documentation, tooling, and programs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Provide on-site service support at customer locations as needed.
  • Support company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Train and mentor peers and apprentices within the assembly department as required.
  • Undertake additional training as needed to support professional development.
  • Assist in the test area when necessary, including hydro, performance, noise, and vibration testing, as well as product setup and teardown according to work instructions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in other areas when required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Time-served Mechanical Fitter with up to three years of relevant experience, preferably in heavy manufacturing.
  • Knowledge and experience in lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a high level of energy and commitment to driving change.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
