Accounts Assistant | Harrogate | £25k-£28k | Office Based (Flexible after probation) | PropertyRole OverviewOur client is a privately-owned real estate, investment and development group headquartered in the Victorian spa town of Harrogate, operating across predominantly the Yorkshire, Humber, and North-East regions. With a successful second year for all group businesses and further secured private capital for investment, the Group has generated the requirement for an Accounts Assistant to support the finance manager with the day to day running of the group finance function.This role would suit someone who is ambitious, driven, with excellent communication and relationship building skills; specifically it would be highly beneficial if you had experience in a similar role such as Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant, Finance Assistant or Purchase Ledger Clerk.For further information, please get in touch for immediate consideration.Responsibilities
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Purchase Ledger Management
  • Sales Ledger Management
  • Payment Run Operation
  • Liaising with suppliers and client by telephone and email
  • Payroll processing
  • CIS return preparation and issuing subsequent statements
  • VAT return preparation
  • Assistance in month end reporting
  • Assistance with year-end preparation
  • Involvement in the set up and implementation of new systems and processes
Person Specification:
  • 1 – 2 years finance experience in a similar role such as Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant, Finance Assistant or Purchase Ledger Clerk
  • Accurate with good attention to detail.
  • Knowledge if Xero accounting software, desirable
  • Able to work autonomously and part of integrated teams
  • Have excellent IT skills, especially within MS Excel spreadsheet development and manipulation
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be able to work within a fast paced, ever changing business
