Overview:
Pertemps is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity within the London Borough of Harrow for a self-driven and motivated Mechanical & Electrical Cyclical Contracts Manager to join our expanding team. This role offers a competitive pay rate of £350 per day (negotiable). Additional benefits include accruing up to 28 days of holiday per year (including Bank Holidays) and the opportunity to apply for any internal permanent roles within Harrow Council.
Key Responsibilities:
" Asset Management: Contribute to the Asset Management investment programme, 30-year business plan, and strategy.
" Maintenance & Repairs: Execute repairs, cyclical services, and essential projects, including capital projects, in line with the Housing Repair Policy.
" Information Management: Provide data to maintain an up-to-date stock condition information system.
" Site Inspections: Conduct pre- and post-inspections of sites and properties.
" Policy Development: Assist in developing strategies and policies related to Asset Management.
" Contract Management: Prepare and update specifications for procuring, evaluating, and implementing new R&M contracts across essential services (building repairs, voids, gas, M&E compliance).
" Gas Compliance Support: Collaborate with the Gas Team to support gas compliance and essential maintenance.
Requirements:
" Transportation: Must have a personal vehicle and a full, active UK driving license.
" Technical Skills: Proficient in M&E software applications and databases (e.g., C365, Civica CX, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Office/Outlook) for managing work streams and compliance.
" Experience: Proven experience managing major housing cyclical and planned maintenance projects in the public and/or private sectors.
" Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of building legislation, including health and safety regulations, particularly concerning legionella, lifts, and gas servicing.
