Lead Engineer - Coffee Roastery

Salary: Up to £42,000

Work will be mainly located within M25 Region.

A renowned client serving cafés, businesses, and home brewers through their wholesale platform and e-commerce store is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Engineer to lead their engineering department, which services customers' coffee equipment. This position is based in East London.

Role Overview: The Lead Engineer will be responsible for driving growth, development, and profitability within the engineering department. This role involves coordinating day-to-day operations, ensuring excellent customer service for wholesale clients, and mentoring a technical support representative.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the engineering department, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
Drive growth and profitability within the department.
Coordinate daily operations and provide exceptional customer service.
Mentor and develop the technical support representative.Key Requirements:

Thorough understanding of the machine sales process and prior sales experience.
Relevant engineering experience in the coffee industry and with related machinery.
Excellent technical knowledge of coffee-related machinery.
Experience as a barista or the ability to dial in espresso and operate various coffee machines.
Proficient IT and computer skills.
Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Strong teamwork and organisational skills.
Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good problem-solving skills and a creative approach to new ideas.
Proof of the right to work in the UK.
