About the Role:

Our client, a leading Tier 1 contractor, is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Environmental Advisor to support their work on major infrastructure and construction projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance and implementing sustainability best practices across all phases of the project. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-profile developments while driving positive environmental outcomes and compliance with environmental legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide expert environmental advice and support to project teams, ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations, and our client's policies.

* Develop, implement, and monitor Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) for major projects.

* Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential environmental impacts and ensure mitigation measures are in place.

* Monitor and manage environmental risks such as air quality, noise, waste management, water usage, biodiversity, and pollution control.

* Liaise with regulatory bodies, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure all environmental approvals and permits are in place.

* Support the delivery of sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and waste minimisation strategies.

* Prepare and deliver environmental awareness training to staff, subcontractors, and stakeholders, ensuring full engagement with environmental responsibilities.

* Collate and analyse environmental data, prepare environmental performance reports, and contribute to sustainability reporting.

* Assist in incident investigations and the implementation of corrective actions to prevent environmental breaches.

* Promote the principles of the circular economy and sustainable construction throughout the project lifecycle.

* Support project bids and tenders by contributing environmental expertise to proposals.

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of environmental laws and regulations to ensure continuous compliance.
