Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a secondary school, located in the heart of Gosport, that caters to students aged 11 to 16. This school are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher of Science to join their thriving team on a full-time basis starting in January. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your teaching practice in a welcoming and progressive setting.

The ideal candidate will:

Be a qualified teacher with QTS or an ECT.
Have a strong passion for Science and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
Be enthusiastic and approachable, creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Demonstrate the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Be committed to fostering curiosity and a love for learning among students.
Have excellent organisational and communication skills to effectively plan and deliver lessons.
As a Teacher of Science, your responsibilities will include:

Delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students, fostering a love for Science.
Teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring lessons meet the requirements of the national curriculum.
Differentiating lessons to accommodate the needs of all students, including those with SEND and high achievers.
Encouraging students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through engaging practical and theoretical lessons.
Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support improvement.
Preparing students for GCSE Science examinations, equipping them with the skills and knowledge required for success.
Collaborating with the Science department to plan and enhance the curriculum.
Supporting students' wider development through extracurricular activities and enrichment programs.
Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and fostering a positive and respectful classroom culture.
Communicating effectively with parents and carers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
